| The Real Story:I'm a husband and girl dad to two daughters who are growing up way too fast. Most of what I know about leadership I learned from getting it wrong at home first. I've spent 20+ years in high-stakes leadership — 20 franchise locations, executive pastor of a hypergrowth church, and organizational development in higher education. I was good at building things. I was terrible at being present while I built them. The pace that made me successful nearly cost me everything that mattered. |
What Changed: | I learned that the ceiling I kept hitting wasn't about strategy or skill. It was about who I'd become in the process of building. I was measuring my worth by my output — and teaching everyone around me to do the same. My own formation journey — from performance-driven to formation-focused — changed how I lead, how I show up at home, and how I help others now |
| What I Believe:I believe you don't have to choose between building something significant and being whole. I believe the best thing you can do for your family, your team, and your mission is become the kind of person who doesn't sacrifice presence for progress. I believe change that lasts comes from formation, not just tactics. Who you're becoming IS the pathway. |
How I Help: | I coach leaders through the shift — from carrying everything to holding it differently. We work with who you're becoming, not just what you're doing. The result is sustainable impact without the constant sacrifice. I also write weekly about formation, leadership, and the tensions underneath both. |
